Still Using WebEx to Train? Here’s What You’re Missing:

Still using WebEx to train workers? We get it. With Web-Ex, you can deliver the same quality training programs your competitors do. But that’s the problem. Success doesn’t come to those who do the exact same thing their competitors do.

Today’s organization competes in a knowledge economy. Competitive edge depends on information and effective application of that knowledge. That means information that is passed onto your workforce must be transferred in a way that maximizes use of that information. Any disconnect that exists between the instructor and learner will work against knowledge being transformed into a capability, which in turn chips away at the positive impact a training session or program is supposed to have on productivity and revenue. Any edge an organization might have in the way knowledge is transferred is an automatic leg up on the competition.

And this is why WebEx is probably failing you. It’s basically about assembling people in a room, and exposing them to content. Your workers are supposed to learn when they’re told to learn. They’re supposed to learn according to the way you want to teach.

The reality is, people don’t learn that way anymore. They want to learn their own way.

And this is where an LMS or Virtual Classroom excels. Consider these advantages an LMS has over web conferencing:

  • Virtual Classrooms are Purpose-Built, yielding faster results and more confidant application of knowledge, saving time and shortening ramp up.
  • Virtual Classrooms have Enhanced Playback Repeatability, allowing for immediate dissemination and reuse of collaborative materials.
  • Virtual Classrooms are Fully Mobile Device Compatible, which allows learning to be applied when timely and pertinent, after hours or in the field saving time and money.
  • Virtual Classrooms Are Designed For Interactive Engagement, for increased engagement that is directly tied to increased performance.
  • Virtual Classrooms Offer Comprehensive Feedback Measurements, allowing real-time tailoring of teaching to ensure high levels of engagement, which are directly tied to performance.
